 Buffalo Truck

Is this your first Tempest festival?

Can you give us any hints on what you’ll be bringing along on your menu?

Saturday30th-FB3You can expect our usual lineup of amazing fried chicken burgers!

Are you planning on using and Tempest beer in your recipes?

I’m not sure how we could successfully incorporate beer into fried chicken, maybe it’s best remaining as the perfect accompaniment…

Tasty Buns Bakery

Is this your first Tempest festival?

This actually isn’t our first Tempest Festival. We were lucky enough to know someone from the Brewery after making pals with them at a Meet the Brewer Event in Edinburgh, we dropped some not so subtle hints on Twitter and managed to blag ourselves a spot at the inaugural festival back in 2016 and have had the pleasure of coming back ever since!

What’s your favourite Tempest beer?

Well, that is a toughie. I reckon it’s
gotta be the 41827785_1928601307222905_4768121715328811008_nHazelnut Praline Porter. We got to try this in
early summer last year and I fell in love. Usually, I would be a bit sceptical about this sort of
beer as they often taste a little artificial and far toosweet, but the amount of rich, nutty goodness you guys managed to pack into it was just incredible.

What entertainment act are you most looking forward to?

At Springfest last year we got chatting with Jenny Biddle over some brownies, not only was she lovely but she is super talented too so we can’t wait to see her again.

41668535_1928601427222893_7529158075970748416_nWe are still coming up with some exciting ideas as we would really like to bring something new with us to Springfest this year, but we will definitely have some of our ever popular brownies and potentially some brioche doughnuts.
Are you planning on using and Tempest beer in your recipes?

Absolutely!! It is one of the main reasons we love coming along to the Festivals – baking with beer is one of our passions and it’s so wonderful to be able to go a bit weird with it because we are surrounded by a crowd that totally dig what we do!

Electric Spirit Co.

Is this your first Tempest festival? 13411690_531229903753201_7724617381698549166_o

Nope! Electric’s been at pretty much every Springfest and Oktoberfest since they started, and I was at the very first one, enjoying the hospitality and taking pictures. They’re always great fun.

What’s your favourite Tempest beer? afe-6x9

Tricky question, been a lot of favourites over the years. Brave New World was one of the beers that really turned me on to big, hoppy IPAs when craft beer was really kicking off, and obviously I’m biased, but the collab gose Electric Spirits did for Springfest last year (Are Friends Electric?) was great fun. If I had to pick one, I’d say Marmalade on Rye – such a great big sticky, chewy DIPA with an awesome, caramelised citrus flavour.

What entertainment act are you most looking forward to?

If I get the chance to get out from behind the bar when they’re on, I’m keen to catch Indigo Velvet. That said, we were in the beer hall last year, and the acoustic stage was right beside us, so the music has a habit of coming to you!

Meat:Stack

Is this your first Tempest festival?

No, Meat:Stack have been coming to Springfest and Oktoberfest for a few years now, it’s one of our favourite events in the calendar and is very popular with our staff.

37088854_630553780637666_2410919049102884864_nWhat’s your favourite Tempest beer?

Brave New World, I still remember when i first had it years ago!

What entertainment act are you most looking forward to?

I normally have my head down on a grill for the duration, however what we can hear from the tent always sounds great

Can you give us any hints on what you’ll be bringing along on your menu?

We’ll be bringing our West Coast Classic and Quarter Pounder along with a mouth-watering 34685746_598429893850055_6559460189743874048_ospecial that will be confirmed very soon.

Are you planning on using any Tempest beer in your recipes?

We are looking at it, however we can 100% guarantee that all of our food will taste amazing washed down with it :-)
