ABOUT OUR BEER

DO YOU HAVE A GLUTEN FREE BEER?

Tempest Brew Co beers are made with malted barley. However, we have two gluten free beers, Long White Cloud and Modern Helles. These do contain Malted Barley (Wheat and Oats), however an enzymatic process is used to break down the gluten molecules, rendering the beer gluten free. The process is great as it doesn’t take away any of the positive attributes imparted by using a malt base, but it yields a beer that is less than 20 ppm (parts per million) gluten, which in the UK and Europe constitutes gluten free.

DO YOU HAVE AN ALCOHOL-FREE BEER?

No, however we do have a 0.5% LOW ALCOHOL beer - Drop Kick 0.5% which we think it is delicious.

ARE YOUR BEERS VEGETARIAN/VEGAN FRIENDLY?

We have 10 beers that are certified Vegan from the Vegan Society. We do not use Isinglass to fine our beers, meaning that all our beers - with the odd exception - are vegan friendly.

There are some select beers that may contain LACTOSE (Milk) or other animal-based products such as Shellfish. However, the inclusion of these ingredients will be clearly stated on the labels.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY BEER AND WHAT IS RECOMENDED SHELF LIFE?

All our beers are unfiltered and unpasteurised to retain their maximum flavour.

We recommend that you cold store your beers to retain their freshness and flavour. Warm environments will artificially age a beer.

Hoppy beers are always best consumed as fresh as possible, as hop aroma and flavour are perishable.

Currently, unless stated otherwise, our beers have a ONE YEAR shelf life from date of package.

I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH A BEER I JUST HAD, WHAT DO I DO?

We are really sorry to hear that our product wasn’t up to our usual high standard as we really care about the high quality and standard of our beer!

DO YOU HAVE A BREWERY SHOP?

Yes, we do! The Brewery Shop is the best place to get the freshest beer possible! One of our amazing team members will be on hand to take you through the beers and recommend our favourites.

Our brewery shop is open:

  • Monday to Friday - 10am till 5pm
  • Saturday -10am till 2pm

You can order online for collection; once your beer is boxed up, we'll sent you an email and you can pick it up from our brewery shop.

DO YOU SUPPLY CASK OR KEG BEERS FOR PRIVATE PARTIES / WEDDINGS / EVENTS?

We certainly do! We are happy to supply small orders of cask or keg beers for all types of private event. Please give us a call or drop us an email for pricing and more information.

ONLINE ORDERS

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR ONLINE STORE POLICIES MAY BE DIFFERENT IN THE RUN UP TO CHRISTMAS. 

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING COSTS FOR ONLINE ORDERS?

For mainland UK, we have two shipping options:

  • Merchandise and Lighter orders: £5.99
  • Beer and Orders above 2kg: £10

If you order over 12 bottles then remember it costs the same whether you buy 13 or 24, so be sure to fill up the extra spaces! The boxes are big enough for everything from hoodies to glassware to gift packs so don’t be shy about ordering more.

WHAT IF I'M NOT HOME TO SIGN FOR MY ORDER?

If ordering with Parcelforce, you have the option of having your parcel left at your local post office for collection or left with a neighbour.

 If you have opted in for text alerts when you make your order, you will receive a text message the morning of advising you of these options which you can select. Please note that if the request is not sent in time for the request to be propagated out to the driver's device in the field, or if the post office is full or a neighbour is not available, then this request will not be followed. WHEN DO YOU SHIP ORDERS?

For same day dispatch, your order must be in no later than 12noon Monday - Friday. This gives us time to pack and prepare the order to be picked up by our courier. 
If you order after 12noon, your order will leave the brewery the following working day. Also note that we do not pack orders on the weekend, so if you order after 12noon on Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday, your order will be dispatched on the Monday. 

CAN I ADD AN ITEM TO MY ORDER ONCE IT'S PLACED?

Unfortunately, not. Once an order is placed you will receive a confirmation email, which is sent to our warehouse for picking and packing.

CAN I CHANGE MY ADDRESS/DETAILS ONCE AN ORDER IS PLACED?

As per our terms and conditions it is your responsibility to ensure that the details you enter into the checkout are correct. If you have made an error, please contact us ASAP at orders@tempestbrewco.com and we will try our best to help, but once an order is made we can't guarantee that we will be able to catch it in time.

CAN I ORDER ONLINE AND COLLECT IT IN PERSON?

Yes! We offer free COLLECT FROM BREWERY at the checkout on the online store. Simply select this, and we’ll box everything up then email you when it's ready for you to pick up. Please be advised that you have 7 days from date of order to collect your order or we will cancel the order and refund the payment.

IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?

No there isn’t, but this doesn't affect the shipping costs; it costs the same to ship 5 bottles as it does to ship 24 so keep this in mind when ordering.
