Smokescreen
Islay is the centre of the smoky, peaty single malt universe and for good reason their barrels take centre stage in our cellar. Ageing a stout in these casks is about integrating that smoked peatiness into something rich and decadent yet utterly drinkable.
Aged for over two years in barrel, the stout was loaded with roasted malts to bring flavours of burnt sugar, cacao and espresso as well as peated malts to amplify the complexity of the Caol Ila and Ledaig hogsheads. Smokescreen is a beer that truly needs to be tasted to be believed.

Boozy, smoky, delicious! (Emma, UNTAPPD)
Ooooh! Like a smokey, woody port-wine, with caramel malts. Glorious hybrid aroma of Scotch and port. Curious! (David Atkinson, UNTAPPD)
