HIRING: RETAIL MANAGER

We’re on the lookout for someone special who can help bring the Tempest brand to life, get people excited about our beers, help guide them through the range while constantly thinking of innovative new ways to engage our drinkers. Beyond that they’ll be representing Tempest in the brewery shop, taproom and also at external events and festivals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to make our brewery shop a destination for local drinkers, you’ll need to ensure that everything in the shop is fully stocked, well presented and sold with passion and knowledge, that all web orders are packed with care and attention to detail and overall ensure the smooth running of our retail and web shops. Your role is crucial in building lasting connections with our customers and creating a unique retail experience. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • The day-to-day running of our on-site brewery shop;
  • Fulfillment of all orders placed on our web-shop;
  • Managing the movement of stock both physically and digitally;
  • Overseeing and activating our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) programme;
  • Managing our profile on 3rd party programmes (e.g.) Brewman, Eebria, EPOSNOW)
  • Ensuring stock levels are accurate across the entire range in both the physical and web shop;
  • Liaising with production and marketing on releases and ensuring beers are ready to sell the moment they come off the canning line; 
  • Increasing sales through friendly, knowledgeable and passionate service and making the most of upselling opportunities;
  • Overseeing the promotional calendar and activating all retail promotions;
  • Ensuring the shop looks its best at all times;
  • Working closely with the wider team and ready to lend a hand where required.

  • Independent, forward thinking, and eager to contribute and bring new ideas to life.
  • A team player but equally able to work independently without direction; someone who can see what needs to be done, and do it.
  • Must love craft beer!

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Good IT skills, with a good grasp of MS Office software
  • Graphic design skills desirable
  • Full clean driving licence with willingness to drive work van to and from any events
  • Must be 20 years + for insurance purposes     
  • Scottish Personal Licence a bonus 

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME IMMEDIATE START

This is not a 9-5, Monday to Friday position; you will be required to work evenings and weekends.
